Where our data comes from
Every measurement behind a recommendation has a source and a date. This page lists them by field. If you want to check a specific number on a specific page, this is where to start.

Inputs we created ourselves
Two parts of every recommendation are not sourced from anyone else — they are our own definitions, published in full on the methodology page so you can check them directly:
- The size bands: the centimetre range behind each letter size or crate size.
- The allowances: the centimetres added for each product type, and the physical reason for each.
These are the part of the site that is ours. Where we disagree with a manufacturer's own size chart, we say so on the page rather than pretending they agree.
Airline cabin rules
Cabin size limits come from each airline's own published rules, listed per airline on the carrier pages with the date we checked them. Airlines change these without notice, so always confirm on the airline's own site before booking. We re-check these quarterly.
If something is wrong
Tell us. We log corrections and the date they were made. When we fix a value, the "last checked" date on the affected pages changes too, so you can see that it moved. Contact us via the contact page.
